ABOUT
BOB’S GARAGE
[ What We Stand For ]
Bob’s Garage exists to support the mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing of working-class men in our community. The space is designed by blokes, for blokes – breaking down stigma, encouraging connection, and offering practical, professional help close to home. We recognise that the challenges men face are broad and often interconnected – from suicide and domestic violence prevention to financial stress, childhood trauma, physical health, and social disconnection. Bob’s Garage is a safe, welcoming place where these issues can be tackled head-on.

[ A place built for blokes, built by community ]
Bob’s Garage is a dedicated men’s health facility in Gladstone, proudly developed by McCosker Contracting in partnership with Men & Co. Services. It was created in response to a clear gap in services for the working-class man. Men often struggle to find approachable, tailored help when they need it most. Instead of waiting for change, we decided to build it.

[ What We Offer ]
Our goal is to provide free or low-cost services that make a real difference, including:

[ Employee Assistance Program – EAP ]
We’re also proud to be developing our own local, face-to-face Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – rolling out soon to give Gladstone workers fast, professional, and friendly support, on top of our existing online platform.

[ Inclusive and Community-Minded ]
While Bob’s Garage is focused on men, we haven’t forgotten the women in our workforce or those who don’t fit traditional gender roles. Through partnerships with Men & Co. Services, The Centre for Women & Co., Gladstone Women’s Health, Gladstone Mindcare, and Headspace, we’re building a gender-equal wellbeing network to support everyone in our community.
[ Our Vision ]
Together with our partners and community, Bob’s Garage seeks to lead the way as the most progressive and impactful region in Australia for men’s wellbeing and violence prevention. A place where men feel safe to talk, supported to grow, and proud to take care of their health. By working side by side with local organisations, businesses, and families, we are building a network of care that breaks down stigma, encourages connection over correction, and creates a healthier, stronger Gladstone – at work, at home, and in our families.

[ Defining our Why ]
The pressures of today’s society have ceated a lot of stressors that impact men’s mental health.
